Plattenepithelkarzinom (PEK) der Zehe – Risikoanalyse
Squamous cell carcinoma of the toe - risk estimation
General description
The test for squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the toe enables an assessment of the individual risk of developing acral squamous cell carcinoma in black giant schnauzers and black poodles. A structural change, a so-called copy number variation, in the c-KIT ligand gene (KITLG) is being investigated. An increased number of copies of the KITLG gene correlates an increased risk of SCC.
