Betroffene Hunde haben bereits bei der Geburt durchscheinende Hautpartien an Ohren, Fu\u00dfsohlen, Nase und Maul. Es kommt zu Blutungen an diesen Hautpartien. Zudem l\u00f6sen sich Hautpartien im Gesicht ab, sobald eine Reibung erfolgt. Die Hunde m\u00fcssen euthanasiert werden.<\/p>

Beim Chesapeake Bay Retriever tritt die Erbrankheit Ektodermale Dysplasie (ED) oder auch Skin fragility Syndrom (SFS) auf. Von der Hautkrankheit betroffene Hunde haben von Geburt an durchscheinende Haut an Ohren, Fu\u00dfsohlen, Nase und Maul. Die Fehlbildung der Haut f\u00fchrt zu Blutungen, teilweise l\u00f6st sich die Haut vom Gesicht ab, sobald Reibung erfolgt.
